PlatSil 71/73 Part R Retarder
PlatSil® 71/73 Part R Retarder can be used with all PlatSil® silicone liquid rubbers to slow the cure and yield a longer working time. Add 71/73 Part R to Part A prior to mixing with Part B. Adding ~1% of 71/73 Part R to the total mixed weight of PlatSil A+B roughly doubles the working time. Adding ~2% of 71/73 Part R triples the working time. Do not use more than 4% as the system may not cure at all. Experiment on a small scale before making a larger mix.

Smith’s Theatrical Prosthetic Deadener is an additive for PlatSil® Gels. It is used to simulate the look and feel of skin or human tissue.
